Enterprises to complete Electronic identification account registration before July 01, 2025
To promote digital transformation in state management activities and establish a legal framework for the use of electronic identification in administrative procedures, on June 15, 2024, the Government issued Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP (“Decree 69/2024”) on electronic identification and authentication.
Decree 69/2024 provides detailed regulations on the management, issuance, and use of electronic identification accounts for individuals and organizations in their transactions with state authorities. Notably, enterprises are required to register an organizational electronic identification account before July 1, 2025.
According to Clause 4, Article 40 of Decree 69/2024, accounts previously registered by enterprises on the National Public Service Portal and the ministerial or provincial-level administrative procedure resolution information systems shall remain valid until June 30, 2025. After this date, enterprises are mandated to use an electronic identification account via the VNeID application to access the National Public Service Portal and relevant administrative procedure resolution systems in accordance with regulations.

Currently, no penalties are stipulated for enterprises that have not yet registered for an electronic identification account. However, if electronic identification is not completed before July 01, 2025, difficulties may be encountered in the execution of administrative procedures, potentially leading to disruptions in business operations.
Enterprises are exempt from fees when registering for an electronic identification account.
To ensure uninterrupted business operations, enterprises are advised to complete the registration of their electronic identification accounts via the VNeID application before the specified deadline.
